This 1942 Buick Super coupe is truly a special machine. It was part of the very limited model year that was cut short by WWII, and today it has been turned into an all-American hot rod with every convenience you could ever want. This is the perfect car to have turned into a distinctive custom coupe. Not only do you get to be different from all your friends with Chevy and Mercury hot rods, but you also have an even better story to tell. The same can be said for the cold-blowing air conditioning. This one is loaded with plenty of modern-style features, including power windows, power locks, power steering, and an AM/FM stereo with CD changer. The driver gets a LeCarra sports steering wheel, wrapped in matching leather, mounted on a tilt column. Beyond that is custom dashboard with a full set of VDO classic-style gauges. Hot rods are about showing off and going fast, and the engine bay on this Buick does both perfectly. Remember Buick Supers from this era had their hoods pivot and raise on both the passenger’s, and driver’s side, which is always something that draws attention at car s |
