This car has undergone a full photo documented ROTISSERIE RESTORATION, and may be the finest SPITFIRE on the market today. These cars are often neglected and claims of restoration amount to no more than a repaint and a tune-up.
This car has been through a comprehensive nut and bolt PHOTO DOCUMENTED restoration!!!
She was completely disassembled, stripped to bare metal, put on a rotisserie, and resprayed ($15,720).
The underside of the car is as nice as the top (see photos).
The original engine and transmission were stripped down, rebuilt, and refinished to better than new condition ($6500).
Every nut and bolt was removed, RE-PLATED and reassembled. The entire brake system including Calipers, rotors, lines, and master cylinder were replaced!!!
The entire suspension system was disassembled and rebuilt (using SPAX adjustable shocks). T
he a-arms were repainted, and all shocks bushings and ball joints were replaced with NEW.
The stainless steel exhaust system, from the headers back is all new as well. The wire wheels are new, as are the tires (VREDESTEIN).
The wiring harness is new. ALL CORRECT OEM PARTS WERE USED.
The entire restoration has less than 600 break in miles.
The interior was restored in MULBERRY RED LEATHER, replacing the original vinyl, the red carpets are new.
The DASH IS NEW, and the instruments have been restored.
The TOP IS NEW mohair (not cheap vinyl), and the top mechanism has been restored.
The top was lowered for the first time for the photographing of the car, there isn\’t a wrinkle in the windows!!!
All systems work as they should, and the car drives as new.
As you may have surmised, the theme of meticulous attention to detail and a no-expense spare |
