THOMAS SCOTT COLLECTION – Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale WITHOUT RESERVE and SOLD to the highest bidder August 13th – 15th, 2015 at Russo and Steele’s 15th Annual Monterey California Auction. Please contact us for more information. Midsize cars were GM’s bread and butter in the 1960s, with most production focused on the four-door family-oriented sedan. Of course today the two-door hard tops are considered more desirable, but considerably rarer and even more collectible are the convertible variants — especially a Gran Sport. This very nicely restored numbers-matching 1967 Buick GS400 convertible is correct to the window sticker and trim tag in every detail, from the Gold Mist metallic paint to the Firestone redline bias-ply tires on beautiful 14-inch Buick rally wheels. Paint is concours quality and shows as better than factory; all panels are straight with good gaps, and bumpers, trim, glass and rubbers are excellent. Convertible top is like new. Zero known rust, topside or underneath. The interior shows well with seats, door panels, dash and carpet all in very nice condition. Gauges are clear and working; rare factory a/c car has been converted to R-134a. Original AM/FM radio, power steering, power brakes. The original, numbers-matching Buick 400 cubic inch V8 was rebuilt 12,000 miles ago along with the transmission. The engine compartment is nicely detailed and, like the rest of the car, maintains a correct and unmolested appearance. Restoration and service records dating back to the 1990s. One of 12 cars offered from the Tom Scott collection.
